Christenings and baptisms are similar in some ways to weddings, although we do find them to be much more relaxed! We can unobtrusively capture either just the service itself or the whole day for locations in Shropshire and Staffordshire, and of course there's always the opportunity to get some beautiful natural photos of the children as well alongside the formal photographs. In fact that's the very reason many of our previous clients have booked us for their christening shoot. We’re professional, adaptable and of course creative and able to capture timeless and sensitive images which beautifully reflect an important family day.

What we do

We shoot a blend of styles to capture groups, individuals and the key parts of the christening itself and always discuss with parents to establish the shots that they’d like and of course chat to the Vicar beforehand to make sure they’re comfortable with photography inside the church - many are surprised at how quiet our cameras actually are so we can shoot discretely and still capture those precious moments of the service and the christening itself with perfection. We position ourselves discretely so as not to disrupt the service and use high quality lenses which are ideally suited to the dark interiors of churches so images still retain perfect quality and are suitable for printing to large sizes. Depending on the location we also like to capture natural portraits using a reportage style, which really helps to capture a variety of photographs on the day.

We can provide a range of packages to suit all budgets, including shooting at both the service and the party or service only, print packages in a variety of sizes, albums and digital downloads. You can book us for a minimum of two hours or add extra time as needed. For albums we use a high quality company with a wide range of album options and sizes and we’re happy to step through their catalogue to find the best product and then layout the photographs for you.

We provide an online private gallery on our website, usually on the day of the christening so photos can be viewed and any images for printing can be selected for further editing.

For 2020 we also offer video as an option to look back on those memories and of course share them as well. Our videography includes broadcast quality audio, a choice of music and a runtime of approximately 5 to 10 minutes to capture the key elements of the service.
