We've been taking portraits for as long as I can remember and as you can see we've got a varied range including naturally lit and studio flash with a range of poses. My main aim with portraits is to capture the spirit and character of people - essentially their essence, whether it's their smile, a thoughtful look, a laugh or a whole group of people having a great time together! Our portraiture includes traditional family, couples and children, business and commercial headshots and environmental portraits, all shot with a keen emphasis on professional lighting. We're professional, personable, adaptable and creative, so whatever your requirement we're confident that we can capture perfect images for you. Please note that we don't offer party photo booth style photography.

Our sessions are very relaxed and friendly and we get through a range of shots and poses with plenty of fun along the way. Often it's the moments that are quite natural that catch my eye, so I'm constantly paying attention to what's going on and helping to arrange poses from headshots to more elaborately arranged ones. As with any other shoot we do love to have a chat beforehand so we can agree on what to wear and preferences for the final shots. Pets are of course more than welcome and add some good value and memorable moments :)

We offer portrait sessions either in natural light, weather permitting of course and have a preferred location at Apley Farm Shop (near Shifnal) although we can come to any location nearby if customers have a preference. We also occasionally arrange portrait sessions at Apley Farm Shop with studio lighting and a full width white or coloured backdrop - keep an eye on our home page for these dates which are often booked up quickly. Alternatively we can come to your own home complete with full studio lighting and backdrop, please remember we need quite a lot of space to set this up but we do usually manage!

What do we provide?

We offer a range of options for photos including prints, canvases and digital copies and the majority of our printing is completed in house, allowing us to carefully control the final quality and deliver the best possible result. All photo shoots include your selection of five 9x6 mounted prints as well as our selection of high resolution digital images. We usually shoot around 100 photos during a portrait session (depending on the number of people). As standard our family and individual portrait sessions include the following:

• A photo shoot for a duration of up to two hours, with plenty of time for outfit changes
• For studio lit portraits, a full multiple lighting setup and backdrop
• A selected set of up to 50 fully edited high resolution images delivered to you as a download via Dropbox
• Your own selection of five 9"x6" mounted prints
• A password protected client selection gallery on our website so you can select any prints as part of your package
• We can provide images on a USB drive if required at a small additional cost
• Additional prints can be purchased from our web site, including discounted print offers

While we're more than happy to have props and memorable items brought to sessions by customers, our emphasis on natural photography means that we don't provide any of these ourselves. Please let us know if you intend to bring any props when booking and please get in touch to discuss what you'd like from your shoot.
